Harta for the 2nd time participated in the Selangor State Level Celebration of World Wetlands Day 2011 organized by Global Environment Centre (GEC) in collaboration with Selangor State Government and Selangor Forestry Department. The event was held on 26 Feb 2011 at Raja Musa Forest Reserve (RMFR), Bestari Jaya, Selangor. The celebration aimed to take action in raising government and public awareness on the importance of protecting the peat swamp for their values and benefits as sustainable ecosystem. This is also in line Harta's Return2Green campaign for environment care.
More than 300 participants, comprising of government agencies, corporate members and volunteers took part in the tree-planting activity. Volunteers came as far as Perak, Japan and other ASEAN countries such as Indonesia, Myanmar and Philippines. Harta sent 30 participants coming from project staff of KL Hospital, Selayang Hospital and Harta HQ for the event as one of the program under Yayasan Modal Insan Harta.
